5 cups cold water

1 TBSP Lavender Oil

1 TBSP Patchouli Oil

1 cup Fresh Strawberry juice

1/4 cup Dried Soap Bark herb (otional)

In a large enamel or iron kettle, melt the lard over very low heat. (never use metal) In a seperate pot, stir together the lye & the water. Heat lard until small bubbles begin to appear- DO NOT BOIL!

Remove from heat& slowly pour the lye solution into the lard. With a big wooden spoon, stir in the lavender & patchouli oils, the strawbery juice & soap bark herb. Simmer fir about 10 minets, stiring frequently.

Pour into 2-inch deep greesed pan & allow to cool overnight. Cut into squaes & leave in the pan for at least 3 days befor reoving. Place the soap bars on waxed paper & allow them to age a draft-free area approximatly 4-6 weeks befor useing.

Ritual Soap Base

Cut a four-ounce bar of Castile soap into very sall piecrs, no larger then 1/4 inch squares- the smaller the better( cube form only) Place these in a heat-proof, non-metal contaner.
Heat slightly less then 1/3 cup of water untill almost boiling. Pour the still hot water over the soap xhips. Let is sit until it is cool enough for you to handel comfortably. Misx the soap & water with your hands. This should moisten the soap chips, but they should not be floating on the water. If they are floating add a bit more soap.
Let the soap & water sit for about 9 minutes until mushy. If the soap cubs are still hard, set the bowl in a pan of water and eheat it gently until the soap is soft.
While the soap is elting, mix together the oils, and empower them with your magical need. Then ad 20-50 drops of the combined oils to the soap-water mixture, Very warm water evaporates the oils, soi wait until the water has cooled. Mix them in thoroughly. The sence should beee strong; if not; add more oils until you can smell the rather then the soap.
Divide the scented soap mass into 3 or 4 parts. Forme these into spheres with your hands. Place each on a 9 inch square pice of cotton cheesecloth. Pull the ends tightly around the sphere, gather then at top, & twist together. Tie the ends closed with a strong string. Repeat with each sphere.
Hang the soap spheres in a worm place for 3 days, or until the soap is completely hard. When the sphere's wont give to finger presure, remove the cloth raps. The soaps ae ready to be used in rite baths, or they may be wrapped in cheesecloth, labled and given to friends who would apperciate them.
